Welcome to views From Observatories. On cloudy days you will not be able to get your own images of the Sun. Even on clear days you should check your own results with those from professional telescopes.

From Observatories allows you to get images of the Sun from professional, ground-based telescopes. The Kanzelhohe Solar Observatory in Treffen, Austria, provides near-real time images for the Sun-Earth Viewer. You can use these images to compare with your own observations or with images from NASA's satellites, SOHO. For more advanced observations use the GHN (Global High-Resolution Hydrogen-Alpha Network) to get images from around the world.
